Founded in 1958 following the signing of the Rome Treaty, the European Union Choir’s mission is to promote Europe through music and music in Europe.
This Brussels-based symphonic choir is currently composed of about one hundred choristers from about twenty countries. It has been conducted by Dirk De Moor since 1990.
In its last concerts, the Choir performed, among other works, Fauré’s Requiem, Haydn’s Creation, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Honegger’s King David, Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and Dvo?ak’s Mass in D Major.
