Born in 1977, Éliane Reyes was developed by her mother, gave her first recital in Durbuy at 5 years old and received the Cesar Franck prize under the aegis of Jörg Demus. At 10, she was award-winner of the French Cziffra Foundation. She got at only 13 years old, her First Prizes of piano and chamber music from the Brussels Conservatory in Jean-Claude Vanden-Eynden’s class. Then followed the “diplômes superieurs” with mentions “grande distinction et félicitations du jury ”. She continues her vocational training in the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth (B) and was the youngest to graduate in 1995.

She also took a master in Lemmens Institute (B) in Alan Weiss’s class.

Eliane studied with Hans Leygaf in Mozarteum of Salzburg and at the “Hochschule der Künste” of Berlin where she receives her final diploma. Several master classes gave her the opportunity to follow advices from: G. Sebok, M. Beroff, B. Engerer, A-R El Bacha, M. Argerich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, P-Badura Skoda & M. Perahia.

In 2003, she obtained a third cycle voted unanimously by the jury of the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique” in Paris and got the prize from the “Blüthner Foundation”.

Eliane also won numerous prizes & distinctions:

  • In 1996, she obtained first Prize voted unanimously & best artistic interpretation in International Competition of Ettlingen (D).
  • Medal-holder of Maria Canals Competition for chamber music (E)
  • Diploma from Clara Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf (D)
  • First Prize voted unanimously for Lions & Rotary Club
  • Grant holder for Nany Philippart Foundation (B)
  • SPES Foundation laureate (B)
  • Belgian Foundation for Young Soloists laureate (B)
  • Wilhelm Pelemans prize for Belgian Music (B)

Always interested to discover modern music, composers dedicate her pieces: Guy-Philippe Luypaerts, Raymond Micha & Benoit Mernier.

At 11, she gave a concert with the Belgian National Orchestra in Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels and also under conducting of André Vandernoot & René Defossez.

Her career took an international dimension when Tibor Varga invited her in his Festival (Sion) and in Boston with the New England Chamber Orchestra in 1993. In 1998, Eliane toured in several important concert halls of Germany with the Klassiche Philharmonie Bonn, Heribert Beissel conducting: Beethovenhalle in Bonn, The Konzerhaus in Berlin, the Liederhalle in Stuttgart,... She gave recitals organised by Vladimir Ashkenazy in Berlin and in Sankt-Moritz (S) next to Barbara Hendrikx & Gidon Kremer. She also loves to play chamber music and often plays in duo or trio with Marc Coppey, Alexander Melnikov, Marie Hallynck, Ronald Van Sapendonck, Céline Scheen, Philippe Koch... & Mischa Maisky in 2003.
