The New Consonances Ensemble were founded in 1996 by the composer and director Michel Lysight in the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. The Nouvelles Consonances ensemble play only contemporary music, the essence of them belonging in New Consonant Music.
The group's composition change according to the pieces that are played.
