Antonio Simone was born in Capua, Italy, in 1969. He began his musical studies with Grazia Mozzi Ciavarella at the age of nine. As young performer he could easily show his technical and interpretative abilities by winning various national piano competitions.
In 1984 he passed under the guidance of Annamaria Pennella, studying in
Naples until the age of 19 when he took his final Diploma with full marks.
In the following years he attended several advanced courses of
interpretation and piano teaching at the "Scuola di Musica" in Fiesole and
at the "Accademia pianistica" in Imola, also taking part with an Electronic
and Computational Music course at the University of Caserta.
Essentially self-taught in composition he created and performed some of his
first works while in his teens and still goes on composing in many forms
and for various instruments.
In 1998 he found his interest in Music Therapy and began a three years
course of studies which is still attending. Meanwhile he also approaches
the oriental practice of Reiki that he considers a good help to his
personal musician activity.
Nowadays he practices piano teaching, works together with some music schools, and performs as piano soloist or in chamber music groups.
A dialogue between two instruments full of lyrism which are the evocation of a passionate imagine being somewhere in our mind and, however, in our heart, but it becomes a deep feeling of nostalgia still before vanishing.
