Jacques Leduc was born at Brussels in 1932. After being awarded in history of music, harmony, chamber music, piano, counterpoint and fugue, he studied composition with his master Jean Absil.

President of the Belgian Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers (SABAM), he has an important carreer as administrator of Belgian musical institutions and has composed many awarded works.

His style is independant from modernist and postmodernist trends, but some pieces may be classified in New Consonant Music.
