In 1980 he completed studies at the Kharkiv Music College and in 1985 graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute. In 1992 he took part in the Master Class with P. Ruders and E. Denisov (Lerchenborg). In 1987-1995 he thaught at a children's music school and the Kharkiv Music College. Since 1994 he hs been teaching at the Kharkiv Art Institute.
His compositions were performed in festivals and concerts in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Poland, USA, Holland, Latvija, Russia and Ukraine.
Piano cycle "Castels in the air" was created at request of the author's school piano teacher Ella Foking. These pieces are intended to be played by young pianists. However the author derived his inspiration no so much from children feelings and images as a dream of an adult to come back to childhood.
